Cost of shipping a car to Cyprus

If you are considering shipping a vehicle overseas to Cyprus then you will want to be aware of how much it might cost you. If you are shipping your vehicle within the EU then you may be able to avoid a few destination charges if you are only importing your car on a temporally.

If you are looking to ship your vehicle via a roll on/roll off service from the UK then you will have a choice of two ports, Southampton or Portbury. The receiving port in Cyprus is Limassol, vessels sailing from Portbury, Bristol will have a transit time of approximately 21 days however if you ship your vehicle from Southampton then the transit time is only 14 days. The cost for shipping from either port will be the same however you will need to factor in costs on getting your vehicle to the port like fuel, return fare etc.

As you are shipping your vehicle within the EU you will have to pay VAT on top of your shipping costs, typically a small vehicle will cost around £480.00 GBP to ship from the UK to Cyprus, a larger vehicle such as a 4×4 would cost around £595.00 GBP. Motorcycles, motor homes or any other sized vehicle will vary depending on dimensions and weight.
